Student Support Services

Students can access support services at the Student Achievement Center, which acts as a central hub for both online and in-person student assistance. These services are designed to foster academic and personal growth, helping students become compassionate and inspired healthcare professionals. Available support includes free tutoring, seminars on stress and time management, career and job search resources, and disability accommodation services.

Academic Advising Services

Each student will be paired with a faculty advisor from the DMSc program. These advisors will provide guidance quarterly and as needed, offering essential academic support. Students are encouraged to meet with their advisor quarterly and more frequently if required. Additionally, students can schedule appointments with any faculty member or program director. Tailored academic advising services will also address the unique challenges that distance learners face, including study skills, time management, and technical assistance. Opportunities for peer engagement will also be available through online discussion forums and collaborative projects, fostering a sense of community among DMSc students.

Counseling Services

Students can access free university counseling services. Remote personal counseling is available. Also, Hope Counseling Center provides sessions for $5 each for students.

Financial Support

Students can access the Financial Aid Office for general financial aid information and program-specific details, including student expense budgeting, entrance and exit counseling, and loan repayment services. All financial aid assistance is available through remote platforms or email. Students can also contact Student Accounts for support with billing and payment-related inquiries via email or through the MBKU student portal. Additionally, students have access to a financial wellness and literacy online platform that offers various tools and resources to support educational and personal financial well-being.

Career Development

Students can access various career development resources, including online job boards, resume review services, interviewing tips, ask-the-expert feature, and the annual MBKU Career Symposium.
